Nii Odoom Anokwafo Annoh O Lord, Open a Door for the Word! Message by  NII ODOOM ANOKWAFO ANNOH Scripture:  Colossians 4:2–4      Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving; and pray for us also, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison, that I may make it clear, as I ought to speak. Urging You to Pray  Now let me ask you this evening: Is there any among you who will pray this week for next Sunday's service? Who will pray, for the preacher and for the people who may come, like you have never prayed before—that God would open a door for the Word and awaken new life for many? Who will pray for missionaries world over especially to those in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region  To encourage you, let's look at today's text in  Colossians 4:2-4 . Paul is urging the Colossians to pray just like I am urging you today to p...

Strengthening Our Family(Church ) Fellowship Through the Communion Service.

1.0 BACKGROUND 1.1 Fellowship Started at Creation: 1.1.1 Man-to-man Relationship: When God created man, He saw that,"it was not good for the man to live alone". (Genesis  2:18 .) In other words man needed fellowship with fellow man. So He gave him a life partner-Eve. 1.1.2 God-to-Man Fellowship: The Bible tells us that God Himself had fellowship with man. (Genesis 3:8ff). So man became a social being, having both "vertical" relationship ( with God) and "horizontal" relationship (with fellow man). God expected man to continue that fellowship with Him and his fellow man. 1.2 The Fall of Man: When man fell he became morally corrupt and spiritually dead. The fellowship between man and man cut off and the godly character in him dwindled. Hatred, envy, murder, jealousy, etc filled man. These characters were depicted in Cain in (Gen. 4.) 1.3 The Tower of Babel. Man's relationship with fellow man seems to have weakened the more after the Babel inciden...

CHRIST CARING FOR PEOPLE THROUGH PEOPLE

CHRIST CARING FOR PEOPLE THROUGH PEOPLE By Nii Odoom Anokwafo Annoh On Friday 23 rd January 2015 Text: John 21:1-19  The Gospel of John tells the story of Jesus, the events leading to his arrest, suffering, death, and resurrection with depth and detail, excitement and enthusiasm. The book ends with today’s passage. It is not anti-climax; it is an opening into the future, not an ending but a beginning. The resurrection, recorded in John, spills over into a series of scenes----Thomas insisting that unless he see the wounds, he will not believe; Jesus giving the frightened gathering of disciples the gift of his peace, an unsuccessful night of fishing, followed by an unexpected encounter with a stranger at breakfast, a penetrating conversation about what is expected now that everything has changed. I want to reflect on this passage in very simple ways, ways that capture the humanity of the disciples, the urgency of Jesus, and the implications for us. I want to do this b...

WAITING UPON THE LORD

Main Text: Daniel 1:1-21; Acts 1: 4 Other references: Joel 2:28 Memory Verse Isaiah 40:31 – ‘But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.’-KJV It is usually difficult for us to wait but as the popular saying goes ‘It pays to wait’ As Christians, it is very rewarding to wait on the Lord in pursuit of all our lives endeavours. Some Biblical examples Ø Abraham & Sarah – to begot Isaac – Abraham’s part was just to obey God. Gen 12:1-3 a.      Abraham was 25years old when he was called set out from his people b.      When Abram got to Canaan, there were people living there but God said “to your offspring will I give this land” c.       Abraham was 100 years when he begot Isaac. Ø Noah – the flood and subsiding waters Waited for the flood to subside for 150 days Ø Jo...

DEAL WITH EVIL ALTAR AND BUILD GODLY ALTAR TO IMPACT GENERATIONS

Image
ELDER MICHAEL KWAME ASILEVI   DATE:   SUNDAY 9 TH FEBRUARY, 2014 TOPIC:  DEAL WITH EVIL ALTAR AND BUILD GODLY ALTAR TO IMPACT GENERATIONS INTRODUCTION A lot of people are struggling in life, depressed, hurting, grieving, heart-broken, disappointed, disgraced, miserable, failing and frustrated due to evil altars (evil deeds) influences which are dominating their lives.  The devil is using evil altars to impose embargoes on some Christians marriages, businesses, good health, glory, financial breakthrough, success and victories due to their ignorance and holding unto evil deeds.  The Israelites abandoned and served the images (altars) of Baal, that were the evil they did in the sight of God. Abraham regularly built altars to God for two (2) reasons (1) for prayers and worship   (2) As reminder of God’s promises to bless him. But thanks be to God that Jesus has made an everlasting altar with his blood for us – Believers… Heb. 9...
