BE GLAD OF YOUR SALVATION

Image
Sunday 29th April, 2012 Sermon by ELDER EMMANUEL TAWIAH KISSIEDU ACTS 2:40-43 "And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.  And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles." HEBREWS 2:3-4 "How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;  God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? " Look to Jesus because He is the only one we can find all the good things in life. The world has nothing good to offer us, so ...

THE TRUE IDENTITY OF CHRIST

Sunday 22nd April 2012 Sermon by Elder GEORGE DANQUAH Matthew 16:13,14  "When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets." In an Akan proverb, it is said ; If someone does not know you, he calls you a slave. You can never know somebody unless you are close to him. You may see someone as good,; maybe  because of his generosity and kindness to people. But can be wicked when you are close to him. Some people can also be seen as wicked and bad, but when you get closer to them, you will realise they are good people. You can't know humans by what you hear about them by what others say  unless you get closer to them person before you can know the true identity of the person. (Hebrews  10: 35-36) Jesus, filled with compassion healed the dumb blind man. Th...

DISCIPLE, SPEAK WELL

Image
Sunday 15 April, 2012 Sermon by Pastor Seth Asare Ofei (Declaring the Rest of the Year a Disciple Tongue Cleaning Season) “The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.” Proverbs 18:21 We joined the ministry here on a word of prophecy that God gave to us, that He will do great things among us. He conditioned it on our doing what is expected of us as people that He has bought with His blood to do His will while we live: To Draw Near; Speak Well, Give or Share, Be prompt in Obedience and Be Accountable in All Things. His Promise is like Him, great and very appealing, and our requirement is not too burdensome. In the early part of our attempt to work and walk together, we have tried to draw near, and many activities are underway to make us actually people who live with Him “dwelling in the secret place of the Most High” i. Sitting at His feet to study His Word in groups on Sundays and Wednesdays ii. Gathering on Fridays to exhort o...

DISCIPLE: DO NOT SIT BESIDE THE DEVIL'S FIRE!

Image
Sunday, 1st April, 2012 Sermon By P. Overseer JOHN ACKAH Mark 14: 54, 66-72 Jesus had told Peter that he would deny him thrice before the cock had crowed twice (as is in Mark). At Jesus' arrest Peter followed at some distance and found himself sharing the warmth of a fire that had been set in a public place by people who had hunted for Jesus (His enemies, who were seeking to get rid of Him, doing Satan's bidding). These people "pounced on" Peter with Questions Doubts Suggestions (All of which sounded like threats to Peter, because at their fire, he was at their mercy, vulnerable and weak) Peter's response was terrible: He lied He cursed He denied Jesus  Now all these happened because Peter had broken ranks and was seeking temporary comfort with people he should not have been with. The reason why these were the wrong company for Peter are the same reasons why certain people will be wrong company for us: The Jews has all along thought...
