DON'T STAY MISERABLE IN YOUR DEFEAT

 Eld Somuah
SUNDAY 20TH MAY 2012 SERMON

Sermon by ELDER SOMUAH

Main Text: LUKE 15:17,18
"And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,"

There are so many happenings in life that we hardly think of. We wait for it to happen before looking for a way out.
Let's be weary of those traits/characteristics;

  1. Laziness
  2. Bad company/association
  3. Anger
  4. Pride (Luke 14:11)
As believers, let us endeavour to excel in these areas:
  • Faith and Prayer
  • Love and Oneness
The key principle is that the prodigal son came back to his senses. Dear one, never remain in that state or level where you think all is lost, come back to your senses and He is ready to redeem you from such perilous times/situations.

Let brotherly love continue. (Hebrews 13:1)
Consider Abraham and Lot; how Abraham offered the best part of the land to Lot believing that his God is more than capable of providing for his needs. The God who has called us has wonderful provisions in store for us.
Brethren, it does't matter how terrible/disastrous you may think the situation is; Arise from that situation because He cares for you.
