Sermon by

Elder EMMANUEL ASANTE GYIMAH

2 Timothy 2:20-21

Vs 20 In  a  large  house  there  are  articles not  only  of gold and  silver, but  also  of  wood  and  clay; some  are for  noble  purposes and  some  for  ignoble.

Vs 21  If  a  man   cleanses  himself  from  the  latter,  he  will  be  an  instrument  for  noble  purposes, made  holy, useful  to  the  Master  and  prepared  to  do any  good  work. In  today’s sermon, I  want to  encourage  every  believer  of  Christ Jesus  who  looks  down  upon  him  or  herself,  not  to  lose  hope  and  accept  this  scripture  as  a  wakeup  call  and  a challenging  one.

All  of  us  are called  by  God and  also, some  of  us  have  been  chosen for  a  particular  assignment  with  special  gifts  to  perform  their  task. This  does  not  make  you  inferior  in  the  sight  of   God,  the  Bible  says  we  are  all  bought  at  the  same  price  which is  the  blood  of  Jesus.

Apostle Paul was chosen by God for a specific assignment. Acts 9:15; But the Lord said to Ananias “Go! This  man  is  my  chosen  instrument  to  carry  my name before  the  Gentiles  and  their  kings  and  before  the  people  of  Israel.

God  is  looking  for  whoever  is ready  to  send  him  or  her  to  do  His work, Matt.9:35-38; when  Jesus  saw  the  crowds, the  Bible  says he  had  compassion  on  them , because  they  were  helpless  like  the  sheep  without  a  shepherd. Then  He  told  His  disciples  to  pray  that  the  Lord  will  send  more  workers  into the  harvest  field.

Beloved  you  may find  yourself  ignoble, and  no  one  sees  anything  good in  you, take  up  this  challenge. God  is  ready  to  use  you  as  a  noble  vessel  to  carry  out  his  name  to  those who  are  perishing.

Look  around  in  your  community, at your  workplace, among  your friends  there is a  lot  of  work, take  up the task the  scripture  says  if   a  man  cleanses  himself  from  the  latter, he  will  be  an  instrument  for  noble  purposes.

What can you offer your church? Have you thought of who you are in your church? 1 Cor. 12:14-26 tells  us  the  importance  of  our  body  parts i.e. everyone  is important  in  our  churches, you can  be  the  ear, feet, nose, eye, head, so  if  the  whole body were  an eye, where  would  be  the  hearing?
You are  equally  important, make  up  your mind and  accept  this  challenge and  your life  will  never  be  the  same.

God richly bless you.
