DISCIPLING CHILDREN TO DISCIPLE OTHERS

Main Text: 2 Timothy 2:2

“And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”

The mandate to disciple others for Christ has been given to each one of us. Irrespective of our age, we have been authorized to go and disciple others.

The Role of the Church:

·         To what extent do we involve children in our church activities, budget etc.

·         How do church leaders relate to the children?

·         What training programs, seminars & workshops are there for children’s caretakers?

·         What provision has been made for teaching facilities for the children?

The Role of the Parent:

·         The family has the most potential of bringing up the children in a godly manner

·         Parents are to nurture the talents/gifts of their children.

·         Responsible for the holistic development of their children

·         Children are excellent communicators, let’s learn from them.

·         Teach the children basic skills for financial management, planning etc.

The Role of the Society

·         Children are the living message we send into a time we will not see.

·         These children we are training are next custodians of the land hence disciple them for Christ.
