CONNECTING TO GOD THROUGH GIVING

There are some Kingdom principles which stand firm; some of these principles are: Prayer: Prayer is one of the Kingdom principles through which we connect to God. Obedience : God says in His word that if you will obey me, I will bless you. The Word : Studying the word of God can reveal hidden mysteries to you. Giving : The principle of sowing and reaping When we talk about money offering, some Christians become uneasy and even get angry. But critically analysing the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, usually it is through giving that God is moved to do something great and unprecedented. Psalm 50:5  "Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice." Giving is a spiritual issue by faith. Without faith your giving cannot please God. God is not actually interested in your money but rather your faith in Him. The connection is in the faith you have for giving that offering. Until the people in the church realise that they a...

WOMEN HAVE NO REAL INHIBITIONS IN CHRIST

“ WOMEN HAVE NO REAL INHIBITIONS IN CHRIST”  An Interview with Mrs. Grace Lucy Yeboah-Asuamah The triennial Women’s Ministry Conventions of the Church took off on Monday, July 8 and climaxes on Sunday, July 14, 2013. We caught up with the Women’s Director, Deaconess Grace Lucy Yeboah-Asuamah, at her office in the General Headquarters, and she shares the spirit of the season in a brief interview: We notice that this year’s Womens’ Conventions are being held in different forms for Area to Area. Do you have any special reasons for that? Women’s Director: My concern is for the alarming rate at which women flock to prayer camps and charlatans. This is very symptomatic of the diminishing emphases on personal devotion and ministry responsibilities of women. This is what primarily informed our decision to give the Area women leadership the flexibility to organize the Conventions with more creativity. We are encouraging them to plan the Conventions to reach as many women...

SHE MARRIED WITH GRACE: THE BIBLE STANDARD WIFE, SARAH

Pastor Seth Asare Ofei Badu The most desirable wife in the Bible is doubtlessly Sarah. She was the only woman named as a standard mother and wife, in both the Old and New Testaments: Look to Abraham your father, And to Sarah who bore you; for I called him alone, and blessed him and increased him. Isaiah 51:2 Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear. Do not let your adornment be merely outward--arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel--rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands, as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters yo...

Bought for Great Things

Image
We are called to greatness, and not ordinariness. Jesus bought us with His blood in order to glorify Himself in us. Saved in Him, we can only grow from glory to glory. It is dangerous and very wasteful for us to remain at one place. We must set our minds and hearts to move in His direction, onto greater works always. Main Readings : John 14: 12; Eph. 2: 1-10, 1 Cor. 6:20; 7:23) Great means distinguished, inspiring awe, large , numerous , or outstanding This is what the Lord has bought us to: 1.      Distinguished in righteousness (Mt 5:14-16) 2.      Awe-inspiring to normal detractors (See Acts 2:43) 3.      Large territory of Influence (See Acts 1:8) 4.      Numerous offspring/disciples (See John 15:5. Cf. Gen. 12: 2) 5.      Unique or outstanding in ministry and gifting (See 1 Cor. 12: 4,11) His calling is against our human tendency to: 1.    ...
