WAITING UPON THE LORD
Main Text: Daniel 1:1-21; Acts 1: 4 Other references: Joel 2:28 Memory Verse Isaiah 40:31 – ‘But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.’-KJV It is usually difficult for us to wait but as the popular saying goes ‘It pays to wait’ As Christians, it is very rewarding to wait on the Lord in pursuit of all our lives endeavours. Some Biblical examples Ø Abraham & Sarah – to begot Isaac – Abraham’s part was just to obey God. Gen 12:1-3 a. Abraham was 25years old when he was called set out from his people b. When Abram got to Canaan, there were people living there but God said “to your offspring will I give this land” c. Abraham was 100 years when he begot Isaac.
