WORSHIPING THE ONLY TRUE GOD

John 17 :3-5

 And this is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent. I glorified thee on earth, having accomplished the work which thou gavest me to do; and now, Father, glorify thou me in thy own presence with the glory which I had with thee before the world was made.

1 Corinthians   8 : 4-6

 Hence, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that "an idol has no real existence," and that "there is no God but one."
For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth--as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords"--yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.

1 Timothy         2 :5 

For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

 All over the world, Christians and non Christians alike believes that there is only one true God that exist. Even though there are other lesser gods, it is a well known fact that such gods have their limits of operation, but the Supreme Being (Jesus Christ) is not limited in scope.

The deity reigns in heaven and at the same time on earth, the following from the old testament describes his existence,

•  Know therefore this day, and consider it in your heart, that the LORD Himself is God in heaven above, and on the earth beneath: there is no other." (Deuteronomy 4:39 NKJV)
• "I am the LORD, and there is no other, there is no God beside Me." (Isaiah 45:5)
• "Have we not all one Father? Has not one God created us?" (Malachi 2:10)
• "Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the LORD is one! You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength." (Deuteronomy 6:4,5)

Comparatively the new testament also produces its evidence to demonstrate that, there is but  one true God, whom all must worship.

• "It is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’" (Matthew 4:10)
• "There is one God; and there is no other but He." (Mark 12:32)
• "You believe that there is one God; you do well." (James 2:19)
• "Now a mediator does not mediate for one only, but God is one." (Galatians 3:20)
• "For there is one God, and one Mediator between God and men." (1 Timothy 2:5)

What is he like?’ Perhaps there is no better answer than that given by the writer to the Hebrews as he commenced his letter. “In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers by the prophets; but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom he created the world. He reflects the glory of God and bears the very stamp of his nature, upholding the universe by his word of power.”    Hebrews 1: 1-3. This clearly demonstrate that, when human beings worship God, there is no problem associated with it because he is the one who mediates between us and Jesus Christ, hence there is one God, and one Mediator between God and men (Jesus Christ) and him only should be worshipped. 

What makes him the true God To all, it is not enough to label an entity a label you desire, except there is a 100% proof, without a single proof to the contrary.

Eloi, is a god to the Non believer( Atheist), but a True God to believers is in existence for all who wants to worship him in the manner he has prescribed to be followed, all of these known as creation does not just happen to be accidental, because it is too complex and very orderly. Even the idolaters know that there is a true God, except that they have a god, which they created, seen and felt, heard in most cases (can eat, etc), and not all of them are carvings, acting as mediator to those who believe in them.

However the True God is not created, rather He is the Creator, completely different and separate from creations nothing is like Him. But Jesus has a beginning as far as the "word", came to existence at best when the True God spoke, or at the absolute truth, when his mother was given the news of his impending birth.

We see that the true God can be seen by anyone who wishes to see him now at our age through revelations, dreams, etc because Jesus was seen, by some of his disciples with their physical eyes during their days or ages.

Additionally, the True God is always Ever Living.

He would be born in Bethlehem.
Micah 5:2

“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small
among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me
one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are
from of old, from ancient times.”

He would be born of a virgin.

Isaiah 7:14

“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The
virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son,
and will call him Immanuel.”

His lineage
Genesis 49:10
 The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, Until Shiloh come: And unto him shall the obedience of the peoples be.

His Life:
He was not violent
Isaiah 53:7-8
7 He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he opened not his mouth; as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth. By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who [among them] considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living for the transgression of my people to whom the stroke [was due]?

His Death

Daniel 9-26
26And after the threescore and two weeks shall the anointed one be cut off, and shall have nothing: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and even unto the end shall be war; desolations are determined.

WHAT WE WORSHIP DETERMINES WHO WE BECOME
If we worship money…we become greedy
If we worship sex…we become lustful
If we worship knowledge...we become puffed up
If we worship power…we become corrupt

If we WORSHIP JESUS…we BECOME CHRISTLIKETop of ForBottom of Form

In conclusion, man was created to have dominion over every living creature, but not to worship them so the only deity man must worship is Jesus Christ.  Amen
