THE TWO GREAT ESSENTIALS FOR FRUITFUL LIFE AND MINISTRY

Texts: John 15 :1-8,16; Mark 12:28-31; Matthew 28:18-20

INTRODUCTION: 
The greatest setback for many Christians in Worshiping God is their ignorance about God's highest expectation in their lives and ministry which centers on Fruitfulness.God's greatest pleasure, from creation, for all living things comprising plants, animals, birds and the fish in the sea, and human beings is Fruitfulness (Genesis 1:11,22,26-28).

It was due to the sin of Adam that human beings became unfruitful and which necessitated the coming of the second and the last Adam, Jesus Christ to the rescue of mankind from the bondage of sin, Satan, and death so that through the knowledge, faith, love and obedience to Him, all who seek to Worship God can be Fruitful( John 15:16).ACCEPTABLE WORSHIP, involves fruitful lives in ministry to God, Ministry to the Church, and Ministry to the World.1.0 Jesus gave two essential commandments, during His earthly mission, that can make His Followers Fruitful in life and Ministry,   1.1 THE GREAT COMMANDMENT: Mark 12:29-31.        This involves loving God with our all-Heart, soul, body, resources         Plus our love for fellow human beings.         Love for God is expressed by our regular and vital communion with  Him, it involves our study and obedience to His word( 2Tim.3:15-17); It also involves worshipping God with the best of our resources , sacrificing our time for His Kingdom work( Mark10:28-31), and offering continual praises with the fruit of our lips. It involves our total consecration to God and Separation from worldly filth and sin, Our humility, faithfulness, and the fear of God. These fruit of the Holy Spirit, will definitely help us to love fellow human beings especially Christians.          This Great Commandment is basically essential to demonstrate our ministry to God, Ministry of our gifts and resources to the Church And our Ministry to the World.    2.0  THE GREAT COMMISSION : Matthew 28:18-20.        This involves sharing Christ through the preaching of the Gospel         To win souls and disciple them by teaching them God's Word until they reach maturity and the fullness of Christ,so that they can also minister to others. What separates the early Church from today's Church is their commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission . Faith plus love is the genuine Foundation to fruitful live and Ministry to God, to the Church and to the World.      The Great Commission also involves social services rendered by the Church to needy communities and people. We must share Christ and our resources for the benefit of mankind.     The disciples who paid greater attention to the GREAT COMMANDMENT and the GREAT COMMISSION became the GREATEST APOSTLES OF ALL TIME: Peter, Paul , and John. The Greatest Men and Women of God in the Bible and Church History to today were people who were committed to the GREAT COMMANDMENT AND THE GREAT COMMISSION.
