THE LEGACY OF A DISCIPLED WOMAN
SUNDAY 10TH JUNE 2012
SERMON BY APOSTLE EMMANUEL ACHIM GYIMAH
What Legacy are you leaving behind in this world?
Consider the contributions of these faithful ones
Esther
Mary
Martha etc.
Proverbs 22:1-4
John 15:16
Matthew 28:18-20
As women, we have been made to produce all kinds of people. In the same way, the church (bride of Christ) is expected brood and fill the earth. (Genesis 12:1-3)
The Lord Jesus Christ did not just call us; we have been given a mandate. Most people are leaving and departing the earth in an ordinary way. May that not be your portion.
One legacy that the Lord has for us is that we will be a blessing irrespective of our social class, academic background, family background etc.
Let the word of God dwell in us richly because in it comes the promises of our Lord that represent the legacy God has for us.
If our Lord has left us such legacy, what are we (disciples of Christ) doing to leave such an inheritance
That we may know Christ well (John 6:40)
Examine Paul's statement "...that I may know Him and experience the power of His Resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in His suffering..." With the knowledge of Christ, you do His will and bear fruit, fruit that will last.
We are not so much interested in populating the earth/church but how many people we truly disciple for Christ. A more excellent legacy will be demonstrating to the world that as leaders, we draw closer to our subordinates and disciple the, for Christ.
