To be in the spirit does not necessarily mean you only act with soberness, meekness and righteous attitude.
KINDNESS: zeal towards another in a good sense
SACRIFICE: to give something valuable to God.
What is so precious/valuable to you?

What is so precious/valuable to you?
- Time
- Money
- Children
- Physical Assets (Houses, cars etc.)
Genesis 12:1-4
"Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran."
God promised to bless Abraham even in his old age. Though it tarried, Abraham still believed that it was possible. Even after the 'miracle' had occurred, Abraham had to go through another test - to sacrifice Isaac.
James 2:23
"And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God."
Abraham was ready to sacrifice Isaac. What are you ready to sacrifice today? Is it so valuable to you that you cannot give unto God? Who gave it to you?
Esther 2:19-23
"And when the virgins were gathered together the second time, then Mordecai sat in the king's gate.
Esther had not yet shewed her kindred nor her people; as Mordecai had charged her: for Esther did the commandment of Mordecai, like as when she was brought up with him.
In those days, while Mordecai sat in the king's gate, two of the king's chamberlains, Bigthan and Teresh, of those which kept the door, were wroth, and sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.
And the thing was known to Mordecai, who told it unto Esther the queen; and Esther certified the king thereof in Mordecai's name."
Mordecai on hearing of a plot to kill the king, told Esther to inform the king in his stead. The people were caught and killed. This was documented in the king's archives. one day the king asked the king asked that book of good deeds to the king be brought and read. And when he, the king realized Mordecai has not been glorified for his deed, he asked Haman (who intends to kill Mordecai) what he (the king) should do for someone who has done a great deal of good to him. Upon Haman's reply the king then replied that that be done for Mordecai.
Abraham sent his eldest servant to get a wife from his hometown for his son Isaac. This servant prayed to God that the woman who will fetch water for him and all his camel will be the one meant for Isaac.
Our acts of kindness open great doors for us.
Acts 9:36-43
"Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.
And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber.
And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.
Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.
But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.
And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive.
And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord.
And it came to pass, that he tarried many days in Joppa with one Simon a tanner."
When Dorcas died, the people she did good to were crying. When they heard that Peter was in a nearby town, they sent for him and he came to pray for Dorcas to rise up from the dead.
May your good deeds raise everything that is dead in your life!
Our Lord is ever ready to bless us only if we sacrifice what we have.
What sacrifice do you have to do today?
