OFFERING ACCEPTABLE WORSHIP TO GOD

Image
Sunday 29th September 2013 "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him." John 4:23 To worship God who is spirit, we can't do do with flesh but we need to reach out to him through the Holy Spirit. Cain and Abel's story is quite similar. God accepted Abel's offering but rejected that of Cain. If you are offering something to God, make sure it is holy and acceptable in God's sight. The youth have several challenges, but we should always put away these challenges and avail ourselves to the Lord. "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." -Romans 12:2 Now that we are in Christ, we should also monitor our ways so that we don't fall into the temptations of this world. To be transformed requires being chan...

DO YOU KNOW THE LORD YOU WORSHIP?

Elder Emmanuel Danquah Sunday 22nd September  KNOW YOUR GOD BY ELDER EMMANUEL KWAKU DANQUAH  TEXT: And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also presdestined to be conformed to the image of His son, that he might be the first born among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these he also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? (Romans 8:28-32) KJV If God is on your side, who can be against you. All things that were mentioned from verses 28 - 31, the Apostle Paul summarized. Then he continued to say that if He did not hinder his Son against us, how many times He will not give all things to us. Every Christian go...

THE CHILD WORSHIPPING GOD IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH

Image
Sunday 8th September, 2013 THE CHILD WORSHIPPING GOD IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH Sermon by Philomina Dede Lam TEXT: WHEN HE AROSE, HE TOOK THE YOUNG CHILD AND HIS MOTHER BY NIGHT AND DEPARTED FOR EGYPT, AND WAS THERE UNTIL THE DEATH OF HEROD, THAT IT MIGHT BE FULFILLED WHICH WAS SPOKEN BY THE LORD THROUGH THE PROPHET, SAYING, “ OUT OF EGYPT I CALLED MY SON”     (Matthew 2: 14-15) NKJ The Scripture above tells us about Jesus birth. When he was born, the three wise men saw his star, travelled to Bethlehem where he was born. Before the visit of the wise men, King Herod had heard of the birth of this little boy Jesus whom the prophet Hosea and Isaiah had prophesied that he will be a great King. He was greatly disturbed because he will not sit for a little child to reign his Kingdom so he ordered that all male children below 2 years be killed not only in Bethlehem and its vicinity but also in all villages of that city. This shows that the boy Jesus will be a Star in fu...

FORGIVENESS: A WAY OF WORSHIPPING GOD IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH By Elder Emmanuel Danquah  on Sunday 25 th August 2013 TEXT :     YOU HAVE HEARD THAT IT WAS SAID, “LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOUR AND HATE YOUR ENEMY. BUT I TELL YOU: LOVE YOUR ENEMIES AND PRAY FOR THOSE WHO PERSECUTE YOU, THAT YOU MAY BE SONS OF YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN . (Matthew 5: 43 – 45) As Christians, there are things that we fail to do that hinder our blessings and, if we are not careful, some of these omissions can prevent us from going to heaven. One of these things that I will talk about is FORGIVENESS. The text above tells us to love our enemies, bless and pray for those who curse us and through this we will become true children of God because he makes sure his sun shines on all  good and bad and also, shower his blessings on all the good and bad without discrimination. The following scenarios make it difficult for Christians to forgive their fellow friends and  are list...

THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM

Ps. Abraham Addae Agyemang Sunday, 1st September, 2013 Text (s): Genesis 12: 1-3, Acts 7:3, Hebrew 11:8 INTRODUCTION God told/called Abram (later called Abraham) to leave his native country, relatives and family and go to the land He(God) will show him. When the call came, Abram moved out in faith to follow God. God then established a covenant of blessing with him. God told him, he will father a great nation which will be blessed to be a blessing to other nations. The nation Israel was that nation physically and the Church was its spiritual counterpart.  This blessed nation was to follow God wholeheartedly with reverence and obedience and then influence other nations to do the same. The blessing that was pronounce by God upon Abraham manifested in the flesh (John 1:14) in the person of Jesus Christ who was born to die to save humanity. Through him, people came to have personal relationship with God as their father and blessed beyond measure with all spiritual, ...
