OFFERING ACCEPTABLE WORSHIP TO GOD

"But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him."
John 4:23

To worship God who is spirit, we can't do do with flesh but we need to reach out to him through the Holy Spirit.

Cain and Abel's story is quite similar. God accepted Abel's offering but rejected that of Cain. If you are offering something to God, make sure it is holy and acceptable in God's sight.

The youth have several challenges, but we should always put away these challenges and avail ourselves to the Lord.

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." -Romans 12:2

Now that we are in Christ, we should also monitor our ways so that we don't fall into the temptations of this world.

To be transformed requires being changed. When we were sinners we think according to the rudiments of the world. Now that we have been made the light of the world, we should shine. We are the salt of the earth.

"Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgement. Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity." -Ecclesiastes 11:9,10

The fact that everything is permissible does not mean we should do anything we please, because after all is said and done, there will be judgement.

Therefore, we should submit ourselves to the service of God.

  • Live a prayerful life (pray without ceasing)
  • Live a spirit filled life. Search the scriptures and know the desires of God
  • Submit ourselves totally to God (surrender everything we have to God so that we can worship Him in Spirit and in truth.)
  • Know what God wants and give it to Him
We owe our lives to God, everything of ours is by His grace.
