5th January, 2014 TEXT: Isaiah 43:19, Genesis 13:15 and Jeremiah 1:11-12 INTRODUCTION God told the Prophet Isaiah to tell His people to forget the past (with its pain, mistakes and old ways) and see (behold), the new things He is about to do for them. Unless they see the new things in the spirit, there was no way it was going to manifest in the physical realm. Having a picture of the future is very important to possessing the future. When we are to align our vision to God’s own and see as He sees then only can we confidently rest in Him to carry us there. WHO DO YOU SEE? The Disciples of Christ asked Him to show them the Father and Jesus told them that He is in the Father and the Father is in Him and He is us (John 14:20). We have to see our God in all situations. He is bigger than our past, our mistakes, our enemies, our fears and all things. He loves us than anybody could ever love us and He has our interest at heart. He always does us good. That is why He ...

JESUS CHRIST, GOD’S GREATEST GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE TO MANKIND

Image
Sunday 22nd December 2013 By Pastor Abraham Addae Agyemang   John 3:16; Matthew 1:18; Romans 6:23 INTRODUCTION: On this very Christmas festivities and Convention, I think every Christian and Ghanaian has great cause to thank, praise, and Worship God for the terrifying journey we all went through from January to December: The Supreme Court’s 8 months judgment saga; the unprecedented electricity power failures and Fire outbreaks that destroyed notable Market Places, installations, and properties worth billions of cedis; Several   motor-traffic accidents and loss of many lives and properties; Many shocking and untimely deaths reported. Yet our Nation Ghana and the church of God is intact, peaceful and growing in all dimensions.   The of This Christmas Convention: “JESUS CHRIST, GOD’S GREATEST GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE TO MANKIND” was specially chosen to lift our hearts in deep appreciation, praises and worship of God for the birth of His Son into the world t...

THE JOB OF LEADERS IN TODAY'S CHURCH

Image
ORDINATION OF CHURCH OFFICERS AT BNWC ON 8 DEC. 2013   THE JOB OF LEADERS IN TODAY'S CHURCH. Texts: John14:12; 21:15-17;  Eph.4:11-15; Matt.28:19-20; 2 Tim.4:2 PRESENTED BY APS EMMANUEL ACHIM GYIMAH -KANESHIE AREA HEAD. INTRODUCTION: I think, one of the greatest challenges facing the Church of Jesus Christ today is The Lack of Visionary and quality Leaders who can effectively nurture, equip, and mentor the members for ministry and for Leadership. Many have been ordained to join the leadership team without actually knowing their job. This has led to apathy, spiritual decline, poor Church attendance, lack of revival, momentum, and growth. Leaders give the Vision and mobilize members to accomplish the work of Jesus Christ- Evangelism, Discipleship, Church Planting, Teaching and Mentoring others. Unfortunately many Leaders today are doing the services that members do or sadly to say sit idly to watch events in Church. If I will ask the prospective candidates f...

WHAT WIVES EXPECT FROM HUSBANDS

Date: Sunday 10th November 2013 Sermon By: Deaconess Asiedu Sarfo Marriage like a chairs needs four legs to stand. They are: Love & Submission Faithfulness Commitment Communication "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;" (Ephesians 5:25) How can your wife know you love her? Sometimes men think it's only women who needs to submit: If  you love someone , you will submit to her. When you live at peace with your wife, she will know you love her. Don't suppress your wife to the extent that they begin to fear you. " There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." (1 John 4:18) Fear does not make love whole. Love should eliminate all fear. Men, please live at peace with your wives and love them as yourself. Love does not hurt its neighbour. If you love someone, you avoid disgracing them. Always rem...

FIVE (5) CALLS OF GOD

Image
SERMON: BY PASTOR ABRAHAM AGYEMANG THEME:  THE FIVE (5) CALLS OF GOD TEXTS: LUKE 19:10, PHILIPPIANS 2:12, HEBREWS 12:14, ACTS 9:16, MATTHEW 20:28 & JEREMIAH 29:13 INTRODUCTION Christianity is a calling. If you are not called you cannot come. It was God who called you not man or yourself.  Therefore do not look to any man but look to Christ alone who loves you and has called you to inherit eternal life. God has called us into a holy calling and we need to see it as such. When we see our worship as a call we will do it with joy and reverence.  There are five main calls that a believer must answer to, these are the call to Salvation, Sainthood, Suffering, Service and Seeking (God). SALVATION (Luke 19:10, Philippians 2:12, Acts 4:12, 2 Corinthians 7:10) The first call of God is for salvation. We have been called to be saved. As  believers, our God has  called  us  for  salvation and  our  gathering  at the ...

FAITH WITHOUT DOUBT CAN DO WONDERS

Image
Sunday 27th October 2013 By ELDER EMMANUEL GYIMAH Faith is important in every Christian life; the bible says in Hebrews chapter 11:6 that;   But without faith it is impossible to please him: for him that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.  (KJV) God is Spirit and cannot be seen physically but to know Him, he can be found in His word, every word that is spoken by God in the Holy Bible has life and works for those who believe it. A Christian without faith must not think that he or she will receive anything good from God Matthew 14: 22-32 talk about a man who brought his son to the disciples of Jesus to be heal, but they failed to heal the boy, when Jesus heard the news he said to his disciple; "O unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you. Jesus was expecting his disciple to heal the boy but because of their unbelief they couldn’t.   James ...

ALL WE NEED TO WORSHIP

Image
Ps. Nyantekyi K. Bonsra John 4:19-24 "The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.  But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." Solomon said that if any Jew travels outside Jerusalem, he should face the direction of the temple on the mountain when he prays. That showed how the Jews revered the temple in the old testament. So how can someone with little or no geography knowledge trace the direction of the the temple when o...
